IT’S ALWAYS 420 IN SEATTLE, WA
Being a stoner and Seattle local, I felt like a giddy schoolchild as I watched marijuana become legalized for medicinal and then recreational use: In fact, I was ecstatic! Washington had finally taken the historic steps to legalize the good herb, though never did I think it would take off like it did. Now, Seattle seems like the most weed-friendly place on Earth! Maybe that is a bit of an exaggeration, but if so, not by much.
DISPENSARIES AND SMOKE SHOPS
With the streets of Seattle filled with plenty of legal businesses selling your choice medicinal or recreational cannabis, one does not have to look far for weed in this city. Not to mention, the quality of the buds in the local dispensaries is incredible: The buds here absolutely sparkle with trichomes! It seems like every corner has a new smoke shop filled with every flavor of blunt wrap you could imagine. (I even saw pumpkin spice the other day!) These shops have wall-to-wall glass and friendly fellow stoners happy to help with any/all of your smoking needs. However, it doesn’t stop there. Just having a huge supply of high-quality marijuana and accessories does not mean the city has earned its full 4.20 stars: There are plenty of other factors that set this city apart.
MUNCHIES
After sparking up a fat bowl, we both know that you are going to be in need of some delicious food for your munchie-craving satisfaction. Not to worry, Seattle has your back on that as well. With food from every corner of the world, cooked by people from those places, your taste buds will be in munchie heaven. The diversity of food found here is really quite astounding. You name it and Seattle has it.
TOURISM
Now that you have your belly full, there is plenty for the explorative-stoner to see! From the Space Needle to Pike Place Market, there is no shortage of famous landmarks. The beaches and parks here are beautiful as well. With Seattle offering both huge beaches like Golden Gardens and sprawling grass fields with beautiful views like Gas Works Park, your high-as-a-kite mind doesn’t have to choose what you are in the mood for… you can do it all! The views from all over the city are postcard worthy. One side boast Downtown and the Space Needle, while the other side features Lake Washington as a backdrop. No matter which way you look, you will not be disappointed.
THE PEOPLE
All of that said, I would have to say that the best part of Seattle is the people. This city is all about being accepting of others while expressing your own unique personality. Rich in art and culture, the people add vibrancy to the natural beauty found here. Rarely will you run into an unfriendly or antisocial person. Rather, the people you meet are usually high themselves or, at the very least, friendly to those who are. There are no dirty looks being shot your way because your eyes are bloodshot. Instead, you may catch a few smiles or nods of approval. Oh, and did I mention the wonderful aroma of some very high-grade bud being smoked almost everywhere you roam?
IN CLOSING
Seattle is truly a marijuana-friendly city in all aspects of the term. If you are a marijuana lover like me, and looking for a cool place to visit, look no further than Seattle.
