PLACES TO SMOKE MARIJUANA IN SEATTLE, WA

Myrtle Edwards Park. This is a beautiful waterfront park with awesome views. It has a stoner-friendly trail with great places chill right near the water. Myrtle Edwards Park is the type of place that makes you feel calm and relaxed even in the most stressful of times. However, it can be chilly so make sure to bring a jacket!

Lincoln Park. If you’re looking for a surreal Indica high, look no further than Lincoln Park. After partaking of the great herb, everything looks incredibly green, lush, and dreamlike. Also, Lincoln Park has some really cool-looking trees which can help your trip become awe-inspiring and super creative. You can even take in a view of the majestic Olympic Mountains.

Alki Beach Park. Ever wanted to smoke with the Statue of Liberty? Here is your chance! On your visit to Alki, you can take some pictures and get blazed by a small replica of The Lady herself. After chilling with the statue, you can then take your time checking out the rest of the awesome views.

Pike Place Market. This market place is always bustling with people visiting the countless vendors. The vendors here range from anything to everything: I can’t think of something that is not sold here. With people selling the freshest of seafood, to beautiful homegrown flowers, they really do have all their bases covered. There is hot and delicious food being sold from many of the stores and tents. My personal favorite has to be the Hombow which essentially is a freshly-baked roll filled with the meat of your choice. Also, you can find plenty of stoner-styled clothing. From sweatshirts, that have pictures of a street corner at 4th and 20th, to shirts that say “Seattle’s Best Chronic,” they have all your herb-friendly clothing needs.

The downstairs in this market holds more shops and food for you to explore including a very famous smoke shop. Pipe Palace has everything you could ever hope for, including locally-blown glass, vacuum sealed jars, Bob Marley flags, and more rolling papers than Willie Nelson would know what to do with. Also if you happened to have indulged in a nice Indica before your visit, not to worry, because while Seattle may be big on our weed, we love our coffee as well. This shows clearly at the market especially since the oldest Starbucks in existence is right across the street. After exploring the market, there is a beautiful grassy area that overlooks the Puget Sound to provide you with some amazing scenery. Oh and there almost always is a friendly group of Rastafarians filling the air with a wonderful smell of whatever strain they chose for their blunts that day.

Ferris Wheel. The famous Seattle Ferris wheel sits on the pier directly overlooking the beautiful Puget Sound: A stoner couldn’t ask for a better view. With the city sparkling on the other side, the views are breathtaking from all angles. You will be sitting in glass pod with a closed door and may feel like hotboxing the pod. However, save the smoking for before and after to avoid any trouble with law enforcement. With the aquarium near by and some amazing restaurants right at the base of it, there is plenty to do after your ride is over! If you happen to be looking for a romantic place to bring your better stoner half, it makes a great date spot too!

Kerry Park. While more of a view spot than an actual park, the scenery can’t be beat. Directly looking out over the entire city of Seattle, Kerry Park provides the best view one can find of the Space Needle, Downtown, and the surrounding area. Plenty of benches and ease of access make this a great place to come and relax while looking out over this amazing city. Also, no need to fear  that you’ll be found out as a tourist because, even being a Seattle local, you just can’t help but to capture a picture of the view. I highly recommend smoking a nice Indica before coming here to relax and enjoy the scenery.

OBVIOUS PLACES TO AVOID

In Public. Smoking marijuana in public is not legal. If you get caught, you may be fined $27. While that is not a very steep penalty, it’s a waste of money that could have otherwise gone to buy more marijuana. So, be sure to smoke before you arrive at the parks mentioned above.

Places of Business. Even if a business is “marijuana-friendly,” it doesn’t automatically mean that you can spark up. For instance, unless your hotel room is one of the designated “smoking rooms,” you should ask the concierge for the recommended smoking area(s). Or, depending on your location, a vape pen might be a more stealthy alternative to a joint, pipe or bong.
